SCCTM Advisory Assembly
The Advisory Assembly of the South Carolina Council of Teachers of Mathematics is a group of teachers from across the state who provide guidance and make recommendations to the SCCTM Executive Board on issues that are important for the organization to pursue and services that the organization provides to its members.
In the past, the Advisory Assembly has been comprised of teachers of mathematics representing each level (elementary, middle, secondary, post-secondary) from each of the thirteen Hubs of the South Carolina Statewide Systemic Initiative. Due to the reorganization of the Hubs into eight Regional Mathematics and Science Centers, the Advisory Assembly is undergoing a reorganization into this configuration as well. During this transition period, there may be some duplication from regions and school levels. As the terms of current members expire, new members will be appointed to align the Advisory Assembly membership with the Regional Centers. Members are appointed through a recommendation from the Unit Coordinators of the Regional Centers for three-year terms.
