The
Official Journal of the South Carolina Council of Teachers of
Mathematics
The
MathMate Archives: The archives contain online issues of
The
MathMate in PDF format. In order to access these files, you must
login. Your user name is your SCCTM
membership number (omit any leading zeros and use lowercase for any letters in
your number. For example, if your
number is M00999, enter m00999; if your number is 000099, enter 99). Your password is your last name (all
lowercase, no spaces). If you
experience problems attempting to login, please contact the webmaster.
The
MathMate is the official journal of the South Carolina Council of
Teachers of Mathematics. Issues are
designed to disseminate information to the SCCTM membership concerning the
teaching and learning of mathematics at all grade
levels.
Submission Requirements: Submissions for The MathMate should be no more than 15 pages in length not counting
cover page, abstract, references, tables, and figures. Submissions of more than 15 pages will
be reviewed at the discretion of the editorial board. Submissions should conform to the style
specified in the Publications Manual of
the American Psychological Association (5th ed.). All submission are to be emailed to
mathmate@winthrop.edu as attachments with the a completed Submission
Coversheet as page 1 and the article starting on page 2. Click here to download The MathMate Submission Coversheet.
Submitted files must be saved as MSWord, RTF, or PDF files. Pictures and diagrams must be saved as separate files and appropriately labeled according to APA style. Copyright information will be sent once an article is reviewed but authors should not submit the same article to another publication while it is in review for The MathMate.
Submission Deadlines: Submissions received by October 1 will be considered for the January issue, February 1 for the May issue, and June 1 for the September issue.

According to the SC Department of Education Renewal Credit matrix, http://www.scteachers.org/cert/recert/pdf/matrix_dist_ent.pdf,
the primary author of a refereed journal article can earn 60 renewal credits.
