Dot Hardin
President, SCCTM

Greetings,

Welcome to the South Carolina Council of Teachers of Mathematics website. Please explore our site to find additional information about our organization. We hope if you are not a current member you will choose to expand your professional opportunities by joining SCCTM.

By becoming a member you will be a part of one of the strongest professional organizations in our state. Membership includes The MathMate, the President’s electronic newsletters, and eligibility for grants and scholarships. This website allows you access to our constitution and by-laws, a brief history of our organization, contact information for the executive officers and Advisory Assembly members, and other related facts about SCCTM. Some parts of the website require your membership number. This number is located on your membership card.

If you are currently a member, consider becoming an active part of SCCTM. We need volunteers who will serve on committees, present at the fall conference, write articles for The MathMate or the monthly newsletter, and represent your area of the state on the Advisory Assembly. If you are interested in serving in any of these areas, please complete the Time and Talents form on the website or email me at dhardin@sc.rr.com .

The next SCCTM Fall conference will be at the Carolina First Center in Greenville on October 21-22, 2010. Please consider participating in this conference by submitting a Speaker Proposal Form.

I look forward to serving SCCTM and the dedicated educators who are part of our organization. Thank you for your professionalism and your dedication to the children of South Carolina.
