The SCCTM 2023 Annual Conference was held in Greenville on November 16th and 17th

and focused on exploring the joys of mathematics.


The Mathematics Teaching Practices from NCTM are divided into themes


Renew:
Establish mathematical goals to focus learning
Facilitate meaningful mathematical discourse

Explore the Joy of Mathematics:
Implement tasks that promote reasoning and problem solving
Use and connect mathematical representations
Elicit and use evidence of student thinking
Build procedural fluency from conceptual understanding
Pose purposeful questions
